Thumbs up recommended for more than 60 homes
The thumbs up has been recommended for the construction of more than 60 homes in Beeston.IDD Commercial and Platform Housing Group are seeking the go-ahead to develop 62 residential properties on the former Beeston Maltings site on Dovecote Lane. The scheme comprises a mixture of two and three-bed properties. The application was first brought before Broxtowe Borough Council’s planning committee in February. Members resolved to defer making a decision on the application following concerns with regard to the density of the development.Amended plans have now been submitted which show a reduction in the number of dwellings from 74 to 62, as well as a change to the road layout so that larger vehicles can enter and exit the site in a forward gear.
