Plans submitted for Boohoo Leicester factory
Fashion retailer Boohoo has submitted plans to transform the site of a disused car showroom in Leicester to make way for a new factory.Boohoo is seeking the go-ahead from Leicester City Council to develop the site at 301 Thurmaston Lane to provide a new office, factory and warehouse.The proposals aim to rejuvenate the site, with the intention to reuse the entirety of the building for office accommodation and light industrial processing activities, including the manufacture, test and quality control of clothing items.The retailer also intends to include the provision of an education centre, offering services relating to the processes associated with the site company.A Boohoo spokesperson said the site would employ 95 people.
