Aberdeens £23m project to boost early learning facilities nears completion
A multi-million pound project to upgrade Aberdeen’s early learning childcare provision is nearing completion, the city’s council has said.Aberdeen City Council invested £23 million in the project to construct new facilities as well as upgrade existing buildings to support increased hours in early learning education in the city.Robertson Construction Eastern is the local authority’s delivery partner for the work, which will see Tillydrone Nursery completed later this month, as well as Northfield and Kingsford Nursery. New facilities at Seaton, Tullos and Quarryhill were completed in January.Council co leaders councillor, Jenny Laing and Douglas Lumsden, expressed their delight with the progress being made.
