nmcn secures Southside Public Realm project

nmcn, a construction and infrastructure specialist, has been appointed by Birmingham City Council to complete civil engineering works as part of the estimated £9.5m Southside Public Realm transformation project in the city centre.The project, which is due to commence in April 2021 for 12 months, involves the large-scale redevelopment of the Southside District.Works to be completed includes paving between Hill Street, Hurst Street and Ladywell Walk, the creation of a new pedestrianised square on Hurst Street to be used for event space, enhancements of street furniture, upgrading lighting and the provision of new trees, improvement of the pedestrian crossing facility at the Smallbrook Queensway Junction and improved segregation of the existing contraflow cycleway on Hill Street.
