Almost 100 Nottinghamshire homes set for green light
The green light has been recommended for the proposed development of almost 100 homes on a former industrial site in Nottinghamshire.Nottingham Community Housing Association is seeking the go-ahead from Newark & Sherwood District Council to build 87 affordable properties at 293 Bowbridge Road in Newark-on-Trent.The application site is an L-shaped plot of land measuring approximately 6.1 acres. It is currently vacant having been previously in industrial use.The scheme comprises a mixture of one, two and three-bed, two-storey houses, along with 18, one-bed flats and a number of one and two-bed bungalows. An eight-bed house is also included to be used as supported living.The development would be rented and managed by Nottingham Community Housing Association.
