A vacant building in Leeds could be converted into a new events space if new plans get the go-ahead.Testbed, supported by Zerum, has submitted an application to Leeds City Council for the change of use of Crown Point House on Hunslet lane. The site is currently occupied by a three-storey office building to the front and warehousing to the rear.Planning permission is sought for the conversion of the rear part of the building in order to bring it back into active use and provide an additional creative offer. The aim is for Testbed at Crown Point House to become a multi-purpose venue capable of hosting a range of events, including conferences, live music and other social events such as food markets. The existing uses would also be retained to allow for continued workspace provision when events are not taking place.Testbed is a subsidiary of The Wunderkind Group, which operate a number of businesses in the creative industry sector in Leeds, including Duke Studios, Sheaf Street and In Good Company.
