Approval for Rivington Chase homes
Plans for a housing development on the £262m redevelopment of the former Horwich Loco Works have been backed.A combination of family houses and apartments that total 116 units are lined up for a 187-acre brownfield site at Rivington Chase.The scheme has been designed to maximise the abundant open space throughout the area, including two pocket parks that will form part of a series of heritage plots.Lane End Group is developing the site for a pair of social housing providers. Paddock Johnson is the architect, with Cass Associates as masterplan architect and Avison Young working as planning adviser.
