Housebuilder snaps up former plant nursery site
Newland Homes has acquired a former plant nursery site on Kidnappers Lane in Leckhampton from the Robert Hitchins Group.The site is earmarkered for 22 low carbon and zero carbon properties, which will be a mix of detached open market houses and affordable homes.With properties constructed using local sourced materials, the homes will exceed current regulatory requirements for sustainability. The open market homes will use renewable energy technologies and features, including solar panels combined with air source heat pumps, to meet zero carbon status and to provide a net gain in energy consumption with the property providing more energy than it consumes.
