Bellway to start on 370-home Hartlepool scheme
Bellway is set to start construction work on a new development of 370 homes in Upper Warren, Hartlepool.Plans for a wider neighbourhood of 570 homes by Bellway and Miller Homes were approved by Hartlepool Borough Council in February 2021 subject to a section 106 agreement.The planning agreement will result in an investment of more than £2.3m in local infrastructure and facilities.Bellway’s scheme, known as Hartwell Park, will comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, alongside public open space, a play area and natural green space for wildlife.Oliver Wray, sales manager for Bellway Durham, said: “Following the planning deal for Hartwell Park being agreed, we aim to start construction work on site imminently.”This will enable us to deliver much-needed private and affordable new housing to Hartlepool. The demand for new homes in this area has been evident with over 100 interested buyers already signed up to receive updates about the development.”
