Latimer secures prominent Manchester site
Latimer has acquired a 1.24-acre brownfield site in Manchester, with plans drawn up for hundreds of homes.The plot is part of the former Boddington’s Brewery on Great Ducie Street, adjacent to Manchester Victoria.It sits within a wider mixed-use redevelopment plan, which includes a new city centre campus for The Manchester College and UCEN Manchester.Proposed by the development arm of Clarion Housing Group is 442 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, of which 60 per cent would be affordable housing, as well as 6,000 sq ft of commercial space.Work is expected to begin mid-2022, subject to planning.
