Funding bid lodged for West Denton project
A bid for £18m is to be submitted to the government’s Levelling Up Fund to develop a new net zero facility in West Denton.The site would provide a new sports hall, swimming pool, gym, café, library and space for community use.If approved, the funding would be accompanied by £3m from Newcastle City Council and its leisure partner GLL.
