Go-ahead set for major apartment project
Approval has been recommended for a major apartment project in Nottingham after the application was deferred from a previous planning committee meeting.C&T Bailey Properties is seeking planning approval from Nottingham City Council to build an apartment building rising to nine storeys on London Road.The scheme comprises 67, one-bed, 32, two-bed and one, three-bed apartments.The building also incorporates a reception, gym, café and restaurant at ground floor level, along with a bin store, disabled parking and on-site facility for delivery vehicles.A basement car park accommodates 71 parking spaces, all with electric vehicles charging points, accessed from Ryehill Street.Cycle parking is provided at both ground floor and basement levels.The building rises from three to five storeys at the southern and western edges of the site, and to nine at its north eastern corner.Photovoltaic panels are proposed for the roof of the ninth floor.This application was reported to the 25 May 2021 planning committee where members resolved to defer consideration of the application, pending resolution of the energy and sustainability measures of the scheme, a review of the traffic management measures and the possibility of making Ryehill Street partially two-way, and for further information regarding the viability of the scheme.The recommendation for approval still remains.The scheme has been recommended for approval, subject to conditions.
