Housing approved for former golf course
A regeneration specialist has gained planning permission to build more than 200 homes on the site of a former golf course.Following Nuneaton and Bedworth Council’s decision to approve the development at Hawkesbury Golf Course, Vistry Partnerships completed a deal to purchase the land.Almost half of the 204-home scheme will be affordable through Platform Housing, together with 103 properties for sale on the open market. The £42m development, situated close to Hawkesbury Canal Junction, will include a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached homes, containing a mix of two, three and four bedrooms. There will also be a number of one and two-bedroom maisonettes. Half of the 101 affordable units will be available through shared ownership with the remaining 50% of homes available for affordable rent.The entire project is anticipated to be completed by 2024.
