£30m loan secured to support residential tower development
Fortwell Capital, a principal lender to developers and investors in the UK real estate sector, has provided a £30m loan to support the construction of a 28-storey residential tower in central Birmingham.South Central will provide 154 purpose-built apartments for private sale in a new building on the corner of Bristol Street and Essex Street. The project is being developed by Essex Street (Properties) Ltd.The team behind the development has previously completed Bank Towers I and II, two of the tallest residential towers in the city, on Birmingham’s Broad Street. LEXI Finance conducted the tendering process on behalf of the developer.Contractor Wates Group will be completing the South Central project, having worked on both Bank projects.
