Kier to deliver border control buildings for Portsmouth International Port
Kier, a leading provider of construction and infrastructure services, has been appointed by Portsmouth City Council to construct new border control buildings for Portsmouth International Port.Procured through the Procure Partnerships framework, this £17.1m project will support the wider ambitions of this new free port for Solent, which is one of the eight free ports announced by the chancellor in his budget. It is one of the largest investment projects in the port’s history and it set to generate 100 new jobs when construction is complete.Kier started enabling works on site on the 1st March 2021 and have been working with its local supply chain partners on the project. The port is due to be complete in Spring 2022.This is the latest project Kier has won in Portsmouth, with others including Mayfield school.
