Almost 100 Worcester Homes Set for Approval

The proposed development of almost 100 homes to the south of Worcester city centre have been recommended for approval.Rooftop Housing Association is seeking full planning permission from Worcester City Council to build 92 affordable properties at Ketch Field, Broomhall Way.Measuring approximately 8.9 acres, the application site is currently set in open grassland and forms part of the wider South Worcester Urban Extension.The scheme proposes a mix of apartment blocks, two-storey houses and bungalows.Of the 92 properties, 59 units would be for affordable rent and 33 units would be for shared ownershipThe 42 proposed apartments would be accommodated with seven three-storey blocks that would stand adjacent to the north-western boundary of the site.Plans are to be reviewed by the council’s planning committee on 29 July.
