Leicester City Council (the Authority) invites Tenders for the provision of 12 short- term residential care beds for individuals who require a short period of assessment of up to 6 weeks to enable them to return home or to be moved into the right setting for that individual, either following a hospital stay or where an individual has experienced a health or social care crisis in their own home.
The Authority requires these 12 beds to be provided, 6 each, within 2 separate care homes located within the geographic boundary of the city of Leicester.
It is envisaged that these short term residential care beds will be for a period of up to and no more than 6 weeks at a time, to be commissioned by the Authority.
The contract is to be a block contract arrangement whereby the payment to the provider/s by the Authority will be made regardless of whether the beds are actually occupied.
