Work underway on 100-home Bodmin development
Construction work has started on a development of 100 homes on the edge of Bodmin.The scheme, called Park Lanneves, is located on the former St Lawrence’s Hospital site off Dunmere Road. It is being developed by Treveth, the partnership set up by Cornwall Council to build homes and commercial development to benefit people who live and work in Cornwall.Contractor Mi-Space, part of the Midas Group, is now on site and the first homes are expected to be available in the summer of 2022.The development will comprise two-, three- and four-bedroomed houses and one-bed apartments. Sixty-one homes will be for private rent, 30 affordable (made up of 20 affordable rent and ten shared ownership, available to people on Cornwall Council’s Homechoice register) and nine for open market sale.The homes will include upgraded insulation, solar roof panels (where appropriate), to generate green electricity and non-fossil fuel heating using air source heat pumps, reducing energy costs for residents.
