Major Bolton scheme secures backing on appeal
Plans to build hundreds of homes in Bolton as part of a £34m investment, which could help create up to 235 jobs, have been given the go ahead at appeal.The proposals by Peel L&P and Northstone for homes off Victoria Road, including the site of the former Horwich Golf Club, were approved by the Planning Inspectorate after a public inquiry at the end of June.Lined up is a 276-home scheme and a smaller development of 150 energy-efficient homes put forward by Northstone.
