Pipeline Framework: External Review of Clinical Dental Advisor/ Expert reports
A pipeline has been launched for External Review of Clinical Dental Advisor/ Expert reports.The contract start Date is 17 September 2021. Approach to market date is 11 August 2021.The General Dental Council have a requirement for a supplier who can provide suitably qualified expert (s) to undertake an audit of random samples of external and inhouse clinical reports to assess whether the reports are of the required standard and quality. In particular, assess whether the report addresses adequately the instructions given to the external/ inhouse clinical expert by the GDC and if the opinion provided is reasonable and what would be expected.The number of cases/reports required is currently estimated at 33 per year over a period of a potential 4 years.The expert assigned to this role should have at least 5 years experience as a practicing dentist and should have the skills to review and present their findings concisely and to a satisfactory standard.More detail will be provided within the ITT currently planned to be published on the 11th August 2021.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
