Homes planned for former Virgin Media site
An application has been submitted proposing the redevelopment of a site previously occupied by Virgin Media to provide almost 100 residential properties.Nottingham Community Housing Association Ltd has lodged plans with the city council to build 82 properties at Diamond Plaza on Daleside Road.The site is presently occupied by the former Virgin Media offices and technical hub in two interconnected red brick buildings.The plans involve the partial demolition of the existing office buildings, with the exception of the western wing of the main building, which is to be retained as a technical hub by Virgin Media.NCHA will then redevelop the site to provide a 100 per cent affordable development, comprising a mixture of one-bed flats and two and three-bed houses.It is anticipated that jobs will the created during the project’s construction phase.
