Framework Agreement for the Provision of a Real Time Passenger Information system
The North East Lincolnshire Council working in partnership with Stagecoach East Midlands, through the bus quality partnership, has successfully delivered a Real Time Bus Information (RTI) system since 2012. The Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) system provides live information about the arrival of services at bus stops across North East Lincolnshire. The majority of bus services operating in borough are included on the system which tracks the buses and predicts the arrival time in number of minutes counting down at the stops. This information is displayed at bus stops fitted with an electronic displays. The RTPI system provides confidence for passengers to make an informed and smart choice to travel by public transport.
ENGIE on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a suitably qualified supplier to maintain the existing system, improve the accuracy and reliability of live bus information and provide further additional enhancements such as traffic light priority.
