Go-ahead tipped for up to 270 homes
The go-ahead has been tipped for an application proposing the development of up to 270 homes on agricultural land in Leicestershire.Gladman Developments is seeking outline approval from Charnwood Borough Council to build the new homes on the eastern edge of East Goscote, on the Western side of the A607 and Melton Road.Measuring approximately 42.8 acres, the application site comprises part of an arable field, a grazing field and a small field parcel.The scheme would provide a mix of homes between one and five bedrooms, with 30 per cent allocated as affordable housing.According to the applicant, the development would support approximately 253 FTE construction jobs over a three-year build period, along with 276 FTE indirect jobs in associated industries.The application will be reviewed by Charnwood Borough Council’s planning committee on 26 August.
