Green light for Cardiff BMX race facility
Plans to create a new BMX racing facility in Cardiff have been given the green light.The site is located on land at Riverside Park in Llanrumney and is currently used as a recreation ground and sports fields.Under the plans by Cardiff BMX Racing Club, a new ‘national standard’ race track would be created.The main component of the facility would be the 400 metre track which will incorporate hill starts and other obstacles. A security fence and access gates are also planned.Approval was granted by Cardiff City Council subject to conditions.
