Milestone reached on Finzels Reach affordable housing

A milestone has been reached in the construction of an affordable housing development at the Finzels Reach mixed-use scheme in Bristol.Coopers Court, which will comprise 20 per cent of the homes in the second phase of Finzels Reach, consists of 48 homes for the social rented market and 18 for shared ownership.Work on Coopers Court, which is due to complete in 2023, has been progressing well, with the foundations now complete, marking a key milestone in the project, known as Golden Brick. The concrete frame is due to go up in the coming weeks.Coopers Court is being developed by Cubex, backed by Fiera Real Estate, for housing provider Abri.Cubex bought the former fire station site in summer 2018 on behalf of Fiera Real Estate Opportunity Fund IV (UK), a programmatic joint venture by FRE UK that is exclusive to clients of CBRE Global Investment Partners (CBRE GIP). As well as Coopers Court, the second phase of the development includes a 231-build-to-rent development, as well as a 116,000 sq ft office building, named Halo, two thirds of which has been pre-let to law firm Osborne Clarke.
