Anwyl starts work on first Fylde homes
Work on new homes in Lancashire is now underway, with the first properties due to be released for sale this winter. Known as Mill Green, the site off Lytham Road, is the first Fylde development and eighth active outlet for Chorley-based Anwyl Homes Lancashire. Work to prepare the nine-acre parcel of land for development, including access and infrastructure works, is now complete, with Anwyl taking over as principal contractor. Along with new homes, the scheme will also bring community benefits worth circa £380,000 to help ensure the growth of the neighbourhood is sustainable.In total, 96 new homes will be constructed, of which 66 will be for private sale. They include a mix of semi-detached three-bedroom properties and four-bedroom detached designs. Anwyl will also build 30 affordable units of mixed tenure. Wider community benefits linked to the development include Anwyl contributing £182,732 towards primary school education and a £125,000 bus service contribution. There will also be around £42,000 worth of highway improvements and public realm works. The first homes at Mill Green are due to be released for sale in the winter.
