Storage yard earmarked for homes scheme
A storage yard has been earmarked for a development of 27 homes in Rochdale.The Casey Group and Rochdale Boroughwide Housing are behind the plans submitted to Rochdale Council for the redevelopment of land into housing at Regent Street. The application site comprises an existing yard and is currently on a long lease with Rochdale Council. It is used as an ancillary storage area for the applicant’s commercial uses of the areas surrounding the site. Casey Group use the land for storage of cabins ahead of them being sold for scrap.The development would comprise of three-bedroom properties, all of which would be affordable.The application will be considered at a future Rochdale Council planning committee meeting.
