A defence authority has issued a tender for 3 complete sets of portable diesel pumps.
The pumps will be used in naval ships and should supply water for fire fighting and damage control.
The pumps should have.
an air temperature of 05 degree celsius to 55 degree celsius
relative humidity of up to 95%
sea water temperature of 5 degree – 38 degree celsius
be able to operate in water condition of saline and muddy
They pumps should:
be of self-priming centrifugal type
have a capacity of 25m3/hr at total head not less than 32 metres
have a 32 metres head
have a suction head of not less than 7 metres
a suction port diameter of 50mm
a discharge port diameter of 50mm
a diesel engine driven with direct couplings
a mechanical sealing system
have a good and dependable self-priming capacity
have an operating pressure that commensurate with discharge head
They should have of a country of origin of UK/USA/Canada/Australia/Japan/Austria/Belgium/Denmark/Finland/Germany/France/Netherlands.
