Bristol scheme set for green light despite opposition
A residential scheme in Bristol could advance next week despite coming up against strong opposition.Curo Places is behind the application, which concerns the site of Broad Plain House – a former community building.Proposed is partial demolishing the site to make way for 22 flats and 25 houses, all of which would be affordable. The plans are going before Bristol Council’s planning committee on 13 October after coming up against 96 letters of objection. However, a report drawn up ahead of the meeting notes that the proposed design is considered to be ‘in keeping and meets sustainability targets’.Approval has been recommended.
