Work ramping up on Teesworks access point
Work on a key access point for the Teesworks site has ramped up, with a new roundabout beginning to take shape.The £4.5m Eston Road roundabout project is being led by Hartlepool-based Seymour Civil Engineering.It is set to open up access to the Dorman Point area of the site, which will also become home to the proposed North East Energy Recovery Facility.As well as the new roundabout, the works include a further £1m project to divert major utilities, including high voltage electric cables and the water supply, with two major culverts constructed at Holme Beck. Eston Road will laos be widened, with a new footpath and cycleway along the eastern side of the road, providing pedestrian access where there previously was none.The works are due to be complete by March next year and will support up to 50 jobs.
