A pipeline has been launched for Future opportunity – Financial Ombudsman Service – ten_592 – Benefits platform procurement with brokerage of associated insurances.The contract start Date is 30 September 2022. Approach to market date is 29 November 2021.The Financial Ombudsman Service would like to post this future opportunity to make the market aware of our intention to run an open tender through this Find a Tender portal (FTS) towards the end of November 2021.We’re looking to run a competition for the appointment of a supplier who can provide the service with a staff benefits platform as well as a brokerage service:The high level requirements are as follows:A flexible benefits platform (cloud based) which allows the hosting of our core, flexible and voluntary benefits as listed in our package (the system must have the ability to interface / integrate with our HR and Finance system, Workday. The list of benefits and technical information will be provided as part of the tender documentation.Total reward statements (either point in time or dynamic) allowing staff to see their total reward in a single statement. The statement should contain information taken from our new Workday system.Brokering of current insured benefitsProvision of educational materials such as (but not limited to) financial education, lifestyle and pension information.Back office module to allow full and dynamic statistical reporting of benefits by Service personnel.Ability to download benefit selection information to support payroll operations.Supplier will be required to deliver a launch event(s) for the new platform.Full promotional plan (with support) for the benefits programme, including (but not limited to) benefit fairs (in real life and/or virtual)Telephone and email helpline for employees and administrators.Current staff numbers: Circa 2,700 (mix of permanent and FTC)Our current contract expires in September 2022 so we're looking to have a new contract in place for implementation to commence in July 2022.The new contract will be for a period of 4 years with the option to extend for a further 1+1 years.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
