Builders to carry out homes development

North Wales-based builder RL Davies & Sons Ltd is set to carry out a housing developmentThe work is set to begin to build new apartments in Prestatyn for tenants with limited mobility.It comes after Denbighshire County Council cabinet members agreed the appointment of a contractor to start construction work on 15 council apartments for social rent at The Dell.Permission for the detailed design of the development on the council owned land was agreed at September’s planning committee.Colwyn Bay firm RL Davies & Sons Ltd will carry out the development on behalf of the council.Five apartments specifically designed for wheelchair users will be built on the ground floor and on the upper floors there will be ten apartments.These will be accessible by lift and adaptable for tenants with limited mobility. There will be seven one-bedroom apartments and eight two-bedroom apartments in the block, with a parking space for each apartment and three spaces for visitors.Construction work is due to start on site soon with completion following in autumn 2022.
