Homes plan set to be approved
Plans for almost 200 homes in Knowlsey are set to be given the green light next week.Gleeson Homes wants to build a 178-houses scheme including infrastructure works on land off Hillside Avenue, Huyton. The homes will be a mix of two, three and four bed detached and semi-detached properties. The site would be accessed from Hillside Avenue via three separate access points and from Fernwood Avenue to the east.Currently the plot is cleared and vacant land. Nearby is an existing Gleeson Homes’ development and another residential development constructed by Gleeson and Keepmoat. The proposed scheme is part of the North Huyton regeneration project and would complement the existing Gleeson and Keepmoat developments. This phase of the regeneration was allocated for residential development in the outline planning permission for the wider area, approved in November 2007.A report drafted ahead of a meeting of Knowsley’s planning committee on Thursday 11 November recommends approving the plans with conditions.
