Short description of the contract or purchase(s):: Operational Technology Systems Integration Services are required to facilitate the end to end, site to centre integration of intelligent devices into the United Utilities wider business strategy.
The services to be tendered relate to the design, supply, configuration, testing, commissioning, documentation and optimisation of Systems Integration (SI) process control software, including, but not limited to, PLC, HMI, SCADA Systems, telemetry interfaces and associated intelligent field devices (e.g. motor starters, actuators & instrumentation).
It covers both new builds and legacy equipment interface/modification including communications (eg. Ethernet and Profibus DP/PA).
From time to time there also be a requirement for the supplier to undertake site surveys and provide support to the company in the areas of control system maintenance, infosec, solution / architecture / network design, performance evaluation and configuration based on UU standards.
Successful suppliers will be required to act in collaboration with United Utilities Partners and other nominated parties to deliver Systems Integration Services as part of the overall supply chain.
The framework will cover all Systems Integration Services procured by a variety of entities carrying out works for United Utilities. These entities will include but may not be limited to:
– CDP (Construction Delivery Partners);
– NMA (Network Maintenance Alliance);
– CTS (Competitive Tender Services);
– AMS (Asset Maintenance Support);
– Wholesale (including Water, Wastewater, Networks and Operational Technology);
– Other Kit Framework Suppliers.
Systems Integration suppliers will be expected to work collaboratively with entities to help ensure compliance with UU standards and increase the likelihood of the entities delivering optimised solutions.
