Redevelopment plans for historic Reading site
A historic building in Reading could be set for a redevelopment.The Natwest Bank at 13-16 Market Place was constructed between 1875 and 1877.Currently vacant, it recently underwent a comprehensive stripping out.Plans have now been submitted to make a host of further changes.These include the demolition of part of the rear of the building and reconstructing the ground floor element to create a retail or commercial space.Also lined up is constructing a three-storey extension provide nine apartments.The application is with Reading Borough Council.
