A defence authority has invited a tender for 4 complete full mission bridge simulators.
The software based full mission bridge simulator shall be used to impart training on navigation and ship handling to personnel.
The simulator shall be used for basic, medium and advanced crew training as well as provide training on:
Rules of the Road (ROR)
navigation during rough sea
navigation in hazardous situations or restricted visibility searches such as fog, heavy rain and wind, sand storms, cyclones and ice bergs
main overboard drill
Search and Rescue (SAR) operations
ship system failure/break down drills
fire incidents
damage control procedures
emergency procedures
The simulator shall physically look like a generate standard frigate so that trainees can feel realism in simulator. The replica shall have exact interactive functionalities of original.
You must be able to supply equipment including:
one full mission main bridge depicting standard frigate with blind pilotage cubicle
2 secondary bridges
one instructor control station able to control games and monitor trainees operating the simulators
one general support station or debriefing station, to execute briefing and debriefing, and to be used as a standard classroom for training courses. The debriefing station will also be used as an overview station, to passively monitor the ongoing training sessions and the tactical scenario
one Database Management Station (DBMS), to be able to change the simulation parameters, and be used as additional system station or to support replaying the game for debriefing
one server station, typically a raid system with network attached storage to reduce the risk of data loss and guarantee the appropriate reliability.

test/trail and acceptance

supply of spares
software, license and manuals.
