Revised holiday village plans set for approval
Revised plans for the latest phase of a holiday village in Cornwall could soon advance four years after initially being knocked back.Towan Valley is located near Porthtowan Beach, with two phases having already secured approval. The first was for 28 units of holiday accommodation, which is fully operational, with the second being for the same amount.Lined up for the third and final phase are a further 32 lodges and a reception and leisure building. Plans for a similar development of 44 units on the same site were turned away in 2017.The capital investment in the project, taking into account phase two and three, would be about £12m.The resort supports the employment of people locally both directly and indirectly as a result of utilising contracting businesses in the area. It is anticipating that a further 50 roles could be created. The application has been recommended for approval.
