A decision on plans to redevelop a coach station in Torquay could soon advance after recently being deferred, although it could yet meet the same outcome.Torbay Council is behind the application, which proposes the demolition of the Lymington Road facility. In its place would be five commercial units and a trio of new coach bays.Approval had been recommended ahead of a committee meeting on 13 December but a decision was deferred to allow the committee more time to consider a response from the Environment Agency once it has been received. However, while the application is again recommended for approval on 10 January, a report drawn up ahead of this meeting notes that comments from the Environment Agency “are still awaited”.
