Plans lodged for job-creating commercial building
A property investment company has lodged plans for a major commercial building expected to create hundreds of jobs in Birmingham.Euro Property Investments Limited (EPIL) is seeking the go-ahead to expand its paper packaging production operations at Phoenix Park on Brickfield Road.The scheme comprises the construction of a building extending to approximately 72,000 sq ft.The main floorplate of the building is intended to be flexible to allow EPIL to expand/contract warehouse and manufacturing capacity based on customer demand.A 119-space parking area for staff and visitors would be provided, including six disabled spaces and seven HGV docking points. Six electric vehicle charging points would also be included.It is anticipated that the development would create about 234 full-time jobs. A further 187 existing jobs would be safeguarded at EPIL’s existing operations adjoining the site.
