Deanestor wins fit-out contract for West Lothian campus
Morrison Construction has awarded Deanestor a £1.8m furniture and fit-out contract for a £60m school campus in West Lothian.The Winchburgh campus near Edinburgh is being delivered by Hub South East Scotland for West Lothian Council. The campus, which is due for completion this year, will provide two new secondary schools, a primary school with an early-years facility, and a sports and wellbeing hub.The project – which is Deanestor’s 12th contract for Morrison – involves the manufacturing of bespoke furniture and fitting out over 340 rooms across the campus.The contract includes the provision of over 300 base cabinets, 940m of white laminate worktops, over 1km of adjustable shelving, 16 teaching walls and 215 storage units, as well as write-on teaching aids, shoebox storage units and wall cupboards.The secondary schools – Winchburgh and Sinclair academies – have been designed by Ryder Architecture. JM Architects is designer for the new Holy Family Primary School and nursery.
