A defence authority has invited a tender for 1 AD radar simulator with ancillary equipment
The purchasing authority wishes to purchase an AD radar simulator with ancillary equipment. This will provide a system that will facilitate realistic practical training to personnel. The simulator shall also be capable of being employed for proficiency testing and performance evaluation.
The proposed air defence radar simulator will provide the training programs with facilities to train the personnel in all phases of their work. These will range from the initial training of basic procedures and radio phraseology to advanced training to obtain and maintain fighter control proficency required.
The simulator shall be able to at least support training in skills including:
air situation awareness
teamwork
communications with aircraft and with the adjacent units or sectors
air to air or air to ground standard radio phraseology
operational knowledge of procedures and environment
workload management and air traffic flow planning
problem detection and resolution
emergency procedures
stress management
The simulator system shall be the fundamental element to train fighter controllers. It will have a great importance to test:
new procedures
new divisions of the airspace
routes
aviation policy
conflict analysis
air traffic flow
The simulator shall have the capability to provide both procedural and radar control scenarios.
