Plans passed for affordable rent apartments
Plans to create 15 new affordable apartments in Birkenhead have been given the green light.The scheme, on the corner of New Chester Road and Rock Lane West in Rock Ferry, will be delivered by developer Stanley Investments and Wirral Methodist Housing Association.Homes will be available for affordable rent.Planning consultancy PWA Planning secured full planning permission for the development on behalf of Stanley Investments and Wirral Methodist Housing Association.The three-storey block of one-bedroom flats has received grant funding from Homes England. It will breathe fresh life into the brownfield site, which has lain vacant since a former car showroom was demolished in 2007.Eden Building Design acted as architect for the scheme.
