Detailed planning consent granted for 200 homes in Hamilton
Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has secured an Approval of Matters specified in Conditions (AMSC) planning consent from South Lanarkshire Council for the provision of 203 private new homes in Hamilton.Located on land off Meikle Earnock Road, the development forms part of the wider masterplan for the Brackenhill Farm area and is recognised as part of the Hamilton Community Growth area.Planning Permission in Principle (PPP) has already been secured for this development, and Taylor Wimpey’s AMSC planning application sets out its detailed proposals for housing mix, landscaping and building materials.Offering a mix of two and three-bedroom terrace and semi-detached, as well as four and five-bedroom detached homes, the design of the development follows the agreed design principles already set out in the masterplan which will see upgrades to Meikle Earnock Road, including continuation of the bus route and a new footpath network allowing access to the adjacent woodland and open space. This development will also benefit from the delivery of key infrastructure as part of the masterplan vision for the area such as further upgrades to Meikle Earnock Road, and there are play areas provided within other parcels of the masterplan development.New footpaths will connect to the existing local footpath network and they will also provide access to the wider open space of the overall development.
