Further details have been revealed of Etruscan Square, a landmark Stoke-on-Trent regeneration project.Etruscan Square comprises a 3,600-capacity arena, hundreds of residential units, 82,000 sq ft of commercial space and a 138-bed hotel.A multi-storey car park is also to be built on the site of the old Meigh Street car park.Stoke-on-Trent City Council have requested an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening opinion ahead of submitting an outline application for the scheme.The screening request report outlines the details of each phase of the project.Phase one would be located in the south-eastern area of the application site and comprises three buildings, identified on the accompanying plans as blocks 1A through to 1C.136 units are proposed, of which 92 are one-bed apartments and 44 are two-bed apartments. A private residential courtyard is located in the area between the three buildings. Three townhouses would also built under phase one.Phase two of the development is located towards the middle of the site.Two buildings, Block 2A and 2B, would be residential and are located along the southern border. 149 apartments are planned, of which 93 are one-bed apartments and 56 are two-bed, along with four townhouses.The commercial aspect of phase two, located in proximity to Blackburn House, is expected to be located in two separate buildings, Block 3A and 3B.An underground car parking area providing about 200 spaces would be provided to serve the residential units.The arena and hotel are also in the second phase, forming part of a new cultural/leisure hub for the city.Alongside phases one and two, the multi-storey car park would be developed to include 703 spaces, EV charging docks and spaces for an electric car hub.
