Wainhomes plans set for nod
Wainhomes’ proposals for a residential scheme in Wyre look likely to be approved by the council. The application is for the building of 74 homes on land east of Carr End Lane, Stalmine-With-Staynall.Car parking, landscaping and all other associated works are also included. The application site is an existing field approximately seven acres in size, located adjacent to the main rural settlement of Stalmine. A report to Wyre Council’s planning committee recommends permitting the plans subject to conditions and a section 106 legal agreement. This is to secure education, health, travel plan, and green infrastructure contributions, and provision of 30 per cent on site affordable housing. The report said it is considered that 74 units can be “adequately provided” on site whilst also providing for “sufficient” parking and private amenity space for the units. Wyre planners will decide the fate of the application at a meeting on Wednesday (2 March).
