Former Northfield Hostel set for redevelopment
Hybrid plans earmarked for the site of the former Northfield Hostel in Oxford look set to advance later this week.The proposals concern both the building and surrounding area, which includes a dis-used sports pitch accessed off Bampton Close.Lined up is full approval for demolishing Northfield Hostel and building a pair of four-storey blocks in its place, comprising 51 affordable flats.The existing sports pitch, subject to the outline application, would be redeveloped to provide ten homes front Bampton Close.The application is set to go before Oxford City Council’s planning committee on 8 March, with a recommendation for approval.
