Orbit seals deal to deliver 58 affordable homes in the Midlands
Orbit Homes has successfully entered into a contract for two new sites in the Midlands. The housebuilder will deliver 58 affordable homes at the sites, with completions expected between 2022 and 2025.The developments will offer a mix of social rent, affordable rent, and shared ownership. Callendar Farm in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, will deliver 37 affordable rent and 13 shared ownership properties as part of the S106 agreement in collaboration with Vistry Partnerships. Gouldens View in the village of Norton, just outside of Daventry, will be developed in partnership with Snowden Homes and the Northamptonshire Rural Housing Association.The site will include five social-rented homes and three shared ownership homes, developed on a rural exception site to ensure the homes will benefit the residents of the village, Orbit says.Part of the Orbit Group, Orbit Homes is one of the largest builders of affordable homes in the UK, delivering over 1,000 new-build homes per annum, 65% of which are affordable homes; with plans to build 6,500 new homes by 2025. Orbit Group is a housing group that manages over 45,000 affordable and social-rented homes in the Midlands and the east and south of England.
