Bellway Homes residential scheme set for green light
Housebuilder Bellway Homes’ scheme to build almost 300 homes on vacant agricultural land has been recommended for approval.The developer plans 291 houses on land situated between Liverpool Road, Kenyons Lane and Northway (A59) in Lydiate, Sefton. They propose new vehicular accesses off Liverpool Road and Kenyons Lane along with public open space, a children’s play area and ancillary infrastructure. The application site comprises a roughly triangular parcel of land covering some 24.2 acres.The plot comprises vacant agricultural land including buildings at Highway Farm towards the northern part of the site.It also incorporates Morton’s Dairy located at the southern end of the site on Kenyons Lane.Sefton planners have now made a recommendation to approve the application with conditions, subject to the completion of a section 106 legal agreement. Sefton Council’s planning committee meets on Wednesday (16 March).
