A pipeline has been launched for Servicing & Maintenance Services for Microbiological Safety Cabinets & Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems. The contract start Date is 25 July 2022. Approach to market date is 12 April 2022.APHA requires the provision of a service and maintenance contract for MSCs, laminar flow cabinets, flexible film isolators and downdraft tables. The contract will include Preventative Maintenance visits and Corrective Maintenance visits, to be carried out on-site as and when required. The use of MSCs and associated LEV equipment is essential for APHA to undertake all of its scientific activities as part of the Defra priority to protect Great Britain from plant and animal diseases. It is critical for APHA to service, test and maintain the Equipment to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation (Health and Safety at Work etc, Act, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations). It ensures APHA controls the risk from exposure to hazardous pathogens or chemicals. This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly. When a public sector organisation publishes a pipeline notice, it does not necessarily mean that an opportunity will be offered in the future. For more information contact: Defra Network eTendering Portal, Defra, London SW1P 3JR.
