Residential future for former supermarket site
A former supermarket in Carmarthen is to be redeveloped as an £8m residential scheme after a 1.1-acre site in the town was acquired.Fletcher Morgan has advised on the sale of a former Lidl on Priory Street to Wales & West Housing Association.The job-creating redevelopment plans include 47 new apartments in four separate buildings around central gardens and a bowling green.It will cater for residents over the age of 55 and those in need of supported living as well as being close to the town centre and amenities.If the plans are approved, work is expected to start this year with the development open to residents in 2023.
